Our attention has been drawn to a wickedly crafted innuendoes purportedly written by one Ajibola. This unethical, unprofessional and badly put together write-up alleged that Hon . Kolade Victor Akinjo is been sponsored by the Honourable minister of Interior Affairs, Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo with the aim of throwing Akinjo up as People’s Democratic party (PDP) Governorship candidate who would at the end of the day be a docile candidate that would not be a threat to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate.
This amorphous fellow in his wild goose chase also concocted the lie that Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo paid for the nomination and expression of interest forms of Hon. Kolade Victor Akinjo.
Ajibola in his demonstration of foolishness and emptiness averred that Hon. Kolade has started fingering some delegates in Akokoland with heavy cash settlement through the help of the Honourable minister who were colleagues at the House of Representatives.
We wouldn’t have responded but for the unsuspecting innocent people not be hood-winked by these frivolous allegations, hence our rebuttals as follows;
This clownish personified amorphous fellow claimed that Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo is sponsoring Akinjo to emerge as PDP candidate in order for him to become a docile candidate. In the first place, Ajibola lacks understanding of the meaning of the word DOCILE and I will take the pain upon myself to school him.
A docile person is someone willing to be taught or led or supervised or directed by another person because of lack of direction and idea.
How can Ajibola call Akinjo a docile candidate? Akinjo was former president of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where he actively led over twenty four thousand students. Someone with two first degrees from very reputable citadels of knowledge such as Obafemi Awolowo University and Adekunle Ajasin University for his Law degree. Someone who has two masters degrees from university of Benin and University of Abuja. How do you dare called a graduate of Havard Business School, Boston, USA a docile person? Everyone will understand from this standpoint that Ajibola is not only making sense but suffering from brain malfunctioning. In fact, Akinjo is one of the best aspirants not in PDP alone but also in APC. Emergence of Akinjo as PDP Governorship candidate shall cause apprehension in the camp of the ruling party. It will place our party in winning stead as Alagbaka Government House beckons.
On the second allegation that Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo paid for the nomination and expression of interest forms for Hon. Kolade Victor Akinjo, permit me to describe this allegation as coming from a man conquered by hunger and poverty whose only means of livelihood is character assassination and blackmail. Akinjo is not a poor man in all ramifications. This is a man that single handedly paid US $75,000 in year 2009 for his study at Havard. He was Special Assistant to the President for eight years between 1999 – 2007 and later a member of House of Representatives for another eight years of 2015 – 2023. He is a successful farmer rearing and selling various hybrids of pigs running to a thousand. He engages in paper presentations both locally and internationally and earns good money from this as a scholar. Anyway, Virginia Woolf once said in her famous quote that “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well”. This might have accounted for Ajibola’s misuse by some master propagandists when they realized that their games are becoming over gradually.
On the third allegation that Bunmi Tunji Ojo is making available heavy cash to Akinjo to buy delegates in Akokoland. This is not only a spurious claim but defaming, disparaging and denigrating the characters and personalities of all Akoko sons and daughters who are delegates to the forthcoming primary election. It is a direct insult on their hard earned integrity to have called them “Articles for sale”. At any rate, Ajibola’s write-up lacks act of thoughtfulness. It is parochial and vexatious but let’s pardon his ignorance as someone pushed by gastronomy.
That the likes of Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo, Hon. Olemija, Hon. Gboluga, and other were colleagues of Hon. Kolade Victor Akinjo at the House of Representatives under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila now Chief of Staff to the President is not in contention. His relationship with these highly cerebral individuals should be an advantage and not reduced to a campaign of calumny. It should be placed on record that Hon. Kolade Victor Akinjo never changed his political party as a serving member of House of Representatives and he does not intends to change it either. He was considered for the board of Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as a representative of Ondo State because of his passion for development of Niger-Delta in particular and human capital development in general. He never lobbied or attempted to defect so as to retain the appointment because, in the first instance, he never worked for the APC but won his polling unit, circumferential polling units and his ward for the presidential and other candidates of PDP in the 2023 general election. This accounted for the protest raised the members of APC that led him to be relieved of the said appointment.
Let’s ask Ajibola to demand from his paymaster to make public the results of his polling unit, circumferential polling units, and ward. This is because clear conscience fear no accusation.
Distinguished party leaders, dear delegates and our amazing party members, I once again present Hon. Kolade Victor Akinjo as the best to lead our state as this most crucial period where experience and cerebral deliveries are needed to change the negative narratives our state has been passing through in this government of continuity of seven years old. We need to tap into the Blue economy of Ondo State which is capable of generating for us billion of dollars. We need a governor with courage and political will who can optimize land use with incentives like the distribution of biotechnological seeds, affordable farming tools, and economies of scale. A governor who is willing to give free agricultural inputs, accessible loans, and support for plantation in crops like rubber, palm, and cocoa, targeting up to 200,000 hectares of cultivation. We need to support a candidate who is aiming to empower 20,000 youths over four years through skill acquisition aligning with current and global demands, focusing on digital innovation, renewable energy, welding, creative design, construction, and electrical skills. We need a governor who would build more infrastructural projects, restore back to free Child and maternal care. We need a governor who shall be on top of security challenges bedeviling our people particularly in the Northern senatorial District of Akokos, Owo and Ose.
Vote for Hon. Kolade Victor Akinjo as he believes that the people deserve the best because the people are the oxygen of democracy.
