Osun State Government under the leadership of Sen. Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has concluded arrangements to commission industrial projects in the Nigeria Machine Tools Limited, new Ikirun road, Osogbo.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, during an inspection tour to the site on Tuesday.
Rev. Jenyo who reiterated the commitment of the current administration to industrialize Osun State, said many of the ongoing projects in the company will be ready for commissioning soon.
The inspection tour of the Honourable Commissioner revealed that everything pertaining to the construction of buildings, workshops and series of departments will be rounded off on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
While a few pieces of equipment have arrived at the company, ready for installation, other useful ones will follow suit in due course, to facilitate smooth operations.
According to findings, when completed, NMTL will employ 118 direct staff, for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labour, which will be recruited within Osun State.
Technical Engineers and other members of staff are already on the ground at the Company.
The Commissioner was accompanied by the Director of Industry, Mr. Tajudeen Adigun, Deputy Director (Industry) and Assistant Director (Industry) in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Osun State.
