Liverpool might have just taken a huge step in appointing Jurgen Klopp’s replacement.
The Reds are searching for a new manager and are keen to get things sorted quickly as Klopp prepares to go in the summer.
After Xabi Alonso turned the job down, Liverpool have moved onto other targets and it looks like they might now have actually made their move.
Liverpool make contract offer to Ruben Amorim
One of the leading names to emerge in the race for the Liverpool job has been Sporting Lisbon manager, Ruben Amorim.
The Portuguese coach has impressed in Lisbon and is very much seen as one of the top young coaches in the world at the moment.
And according to journalist Pedro Sepulveda, it looks like Liverpool have made their move to bring Amorim to Anfield.
Taking to X just now, Sepulveda has confirmed that Liverpool have offered Amorim a three-year contract as they look to get him to commit before the end of the season.
Amorim has already spoken in the past week about potentially not staying in Lisbon beyond this season.
And now, looking at this, it seems like Liverpool could well be his destination.
This is big news from Sepulveda, who has been very much spot on with a number of claims from Portugal in the past.
The journalist broke the story of Fabio Vieira signing for Arsenal out of nowhere and he seems very much to have his finger on the pulse when it comes to the Amorim to Liverpool news.
It does seem like Liverpool have decided on their man here. And getting it done before the season ends is the ideal way to go about their business really.
Quite how this develops, we don’t know. But it does look like the ‘brilliant‘ Ruben Amorim is getting closer to being the new Liverpool manager.
