Hon. Omosede Gabriella Igbinedion, the beautiful daughter of The Esama of Benin Kingdom, a quintessential, Amazon and a cause driven women leader, and trailblazer, Barrister, Politician, Entrepreneur, Cultural Ambassador, Humanitarian and Philanthropist.
Hon. Omosede Igbinedion is a women and a girl child right and protection activist, who derives great delight in the protection of women and girl child rights to see they are represented in all nocks and crannies of the society. Her love for humanity has been demonstrated severally through her philanthropic gestures in various ways through her foundation called “Omosede Foundation” where she bring succour to vulnerable children, pay school fees for students and scholarship, medical assistance among many others.
Hon. Omosede Igbinedion was born into the family of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, The Esama of Benin Kingdom.
She attended Igbinedion Education Center where she sat for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 1998.
She also attended Cambridge College in the United Kingdom where she acquired her A- Levels and went on to obtain a Bachelors of Law Degree from the prestigious University of Kent in 2003.
She obtained a Masters in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Westminster in 2005. She then returned to Nigeria and attended Nigerian Law School, and was called to the Bar in 2007.
In 2015, through her capacity and charismatic leadership style, Omosede was elected as the youngest female member into the 8th Assembly of the House of Representatives (Nigeria), where she represents the Ovia Federal constituency which consists of Ovia North-East and Ovia South-West Local Government Areas of Edo State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) She ensured women inclusiveness in the affairs of her Constituency, state and Nigeria as a whole and drove massive support for the party from women wing as she recorded the highest ever women participation in active politics during her tenure .
She was the Deputy Chairman House Services in the House of Representatives and a member of the following committees: Local Content, Aviation, Downstream Petroleum, FCT, Judiciary, Rural Development, Women in Parliament.
Hon. Omosede is a proud mother to her handsome son.

*SOME MOTIONS RAISED BY HON. OMOSEDE DURING HER FIRST TENURE IN OFFICE:*
1. A motion on urgent public important on the need to rescue abducted school girls children.
2. A motion calling for a halt to the proposed plan to stop admission of combatant female cadets into the Nigerian Defence Academy.
3. A motion on Federal Government to drop the 20% tariff imposed on imported medicines.
4. Motion on the need for FAAN to repair Benin Airport runway.
5. A motion on the need to construct pedestrian bridge and speed breakers at the University of Benin axis of the Lagos-Benin highway, to forestall accidents. Omosede said that the fundamental duty of the Government, according to Section 14 (2) (b) of the 1999 Constitution as amended, was the security and welfare of Nigerians.
6. Contributed to a Motion on the floor of the House, moved by the Majority Leader, concerning the 26 young Nigerian women and girls that were found dead in the Mediterranean.
She urged her colleagues that now is time to act towards assisting and restoring the loss of confidence in the Nation by the youths which is the major cause of this deadly voyage across the Mediterranean sea to Europe.
7. She contributed to a Motion on the floor of the House in 2018. She said as a youth, the “Youth Agenda” has always been paramount to her. Also, knowing fully well that it is important to protect the youth and look into tackling the lawlessness of the Police. She said “I am glad the youth of this great Country have woken up to this challenge. We can achieve anything.
8. A motion on the “Need to stop the increasing rate of child labour, molestation and abuse in Nigeria,”
9. A motion under matters of public urgency, on the need to attract teachers to remote locations in Nigeria.

Yakubu Dogara to Ovia on his first official visit to the State after which she raised a motion of urgent intervention in the house for flood victims in her Constituency at that time and thereafter relief materials was given to flood victims in 2016.
