The leaders of Aiyedatiwa/Adelami Progressive Movement on 19th February, 2024 visited APC Party Leaders, Executives and members at Emure/Uso Ward of Owo Local Government Area to franternize and commune with them on the need to support the continuation of Aiyedatiwa/Adelami beyond 2024.
The meetings which were held in different places in Emure and Uso have in attendant APC ward Leaders, stakeholders, members and lovers of our amiable Governor, H.E Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, Chief Olaide Adelami mni.
It was a moment of excitement for everyone present at the meeting in Emure and Uso as all APC executives and members in that area trooped out to declare and endorse the candidacy of H.E Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as their preferred candidate for the coming gubernatorial election both at primary and general election
The Chairman of Aiyedatiwa/Adelami Progressive Movement, Hon. Daramola Owolabi Acknowledged the present of everyone at the gathering and extend his greetings to the Kabiyesi of Uso land with prayers.
He also prayed for Mr. Sunday Fagboyegun of blessed memory and acknowledged his role in the growth of progressiveness in Uso land. He continued his speech by admonishing the people to ignore the blackmail from the other camps, he said they are only wallowing in confusion and shouldn’t mislead any of Aiyedatiwa’s supporters because we know that they are only propagating falsehood.
He assured the people of cooperation and strategic partnership with all stakeholders on the project of Aiyedatiwa/Adelami.
He said that the strong synergy that is required will be a strength needed to upstaged our game to victory both at primary and general election.
In a response from Barr. Ajipe, a Chieftain and Leader of our party in Emure, said that the era of cabal’s anarchical rule has gone, no more compilation of delegate list by them anymore. He proceeded by assuring the representative of Aiyedatiwa/Adelami Progressive Movement to be rest assured of thousands of votes from Emure for Aiyedatiwa later in this year.
He further stated that all the important Chiefs and stakeholders that can mobilize and converse for the victory of Aiyedatiwa are all present and they will take the message to Elemure of Emure land immediately.
He assured the representatives that there will be meeting after meeting where collective decision will be reached for the interest of Aiyedatiwa/Adelami success, he said that, whatever decision reached by the leaders and chiefs will be the decision of all the people of Emure
In another vein, the Leaders in Uso re-emphasized their commitment to Aiyedatiwa/Adelami project.
Chief Okeowo responding to the Chairman of Aiyedatiwa/Adelami Progressive Movement speech, appreciates the delegation from the Progressive Movement and also reiterate their commitment to Aiyedatiwa/Adelami project and took the people into memory lane on how Former Governor, Akeredolu picked Aiyedatiwa as his preferred running mate during the second term election. He said everyone in the State is currently in Aiyedatiwa camp, including central, South and Northern senatorial districts.
He said Aiyedatiwa is the favorite among all APC aspirants and he urged everyone present to support this course with believe and trust in God of victory
It was a moment of reunion as Party Leaders and members acquaint themselves with one another and exchange pleasantries.
