The Chairman/Leader of APC in Rivers State, who also serves as the Representative of Rivers State on the NDDC Governing Board, Chief Tony C Okocha KSC JP DSSRS, continued his courtesy visits to relevant Security Agencies in Rivers State by visiting the Nigerian Air Force, Rivers State Command in Port Harcourt today.
Upon arrival, Chief Okocha and his entourage were warmly received by Air Commodore Ali Hussain Idris, Commander of the 115 Special Operations Group at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Port Harcourt, along with other senior officers of the Command.
Addressing the Command, the Rivers APC Chairman, Chief Tony Okocha, stated that the purpose of the visit was to formally acquaint himself with the command and to seek their cooperation and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). He expressed gratitude to the Commander of the Command for initiating a courtesy visit to the state office of the NDDC, a request which he reciprocated by deciding to visit the command instead. He pledged to maintain the current cordial relationship with the Command.
In response, the Commander, Air Commodore Ali Hussain Idris, thanked the Chairman and his entourage for the significant visit. He assured that the doors of the Command are always open to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) whenever they require their services and support.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of an Award of Excellence to Chief Tony C Okocha by Air Commodore AH Idris.
The delegation that accompanied Chief Okocha on the visit included the Members of the Caretaker Committee of APC Rivers State, Dr. Anosike Orduwa KSC, Amb. Chikwe Orlu, party stewards, and Aides to Chief Tony Okocha, among others.
