Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has opened up on how desperation made him do some shady things during his days as a struggling artist.
The Dagbana crooner in a new documentary titled βBella Shmurda: Tension in Ibadan 2024,β revealed that he hijacked a tricycle at some point to fund his music.
He said desperation also made him sign a record deal that didnβt end well.
Shmurda said, βI shouldnβt have rushed. We will never get to see the future. So everybody is rushing. I went into some things that didnβt later pay off. I went to sign a deal with rush which later was funny.
βI stole keke (tricycle) because of money but Alhamdulilah, Iβm here today.β
The singer said becoming a father has affected the kind of music he makes and visuals he puts out.
βSeeing my son, inspires me. Whatβs on my head is, βWetin this boy go see in the next 10 years?β I donβt want him to see my old videos. I want him to see a new Bella,β he said.
