Princess Islamiyat Abiodun Oyefusi, the Deputy gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections in Lagos, has resigned from the party.
In a letter addressed to her ward chairman, she expressed gratitude to her running mate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, but stated she no longer aligns with the party’s values.
Oyefusi said she look forward to working with her supporters in the future to achieve their goals of freeing Lagos from one-party politics and creating a state that works for everyone.
