By Amb Abdulaziz Hussaini Tudun Wada
Dear esteemed colleagues, leaders, and members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) JCC KANO AXIS,
It is with great enthusiasm and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of student rights and welfare that I, Amb Abdulaziz Hussaini Tudun Wada, hereby declare my interest to run for the position of Secretary General under the umbrella of NANS JCC KANO AXIS in the upcoming convention.
As a dedicated student activist and leader, I have consistently strived to create positive change within the educational system, championing the rights and aspirations of fellow students. I strongly believe that through effective leadership and strategic decision-making, we can pave the way for a brighter future for Nigerian students.
I have had the privilege of serving as the Director of Welfare in the NANS JCC KANO AXIS under the AMBADDI ADMINISTRATION. Throughout my tenure, I successfully advocated for improved welfare services, ensuring that students’ basic needs were met and their voices were heard. This experience has equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively navigate the challenges that our students face on a daily basis.
Furthermore, as the National Chairman of Youth Target For Sustainable Change (Y T S C), I have worked tirelessly to empower and mobilize young people towards achieving sustainable development goals. This role has allowed me to build strong relationships with various stakeholders, enabling me to effectively negotiate and collaborate in pursuit of our collective goals.
Currently pursuing my studies in Computer Science Education at the Federal College of Education Kano, I understand the importance of bridging the gap between academia and student activism. I firmly believe that by leveraging the power of technology and innovation, we can revolutionize the education sector, leading to improved quality of education and enhanced career opportunities for Nigerian students.
If elected as Secretary General, I pledge to prioritize the following critical areas:
1. Representation: Ensuring that the voices of all Nigerian students are adequately represented and their concerns effectively addressed at all levels.
2. Welfare: Advocating for the improvement of students’ welfare services, including enhanced accommodation, affordable healthcare, and access to quality education.
3. Empowerment: Empowering students by providing opportunities for personal and professional development through workshops, seminars, and skill acquisition programs.
4. Collaboration: Establishing strong partnerships with government officials, educational institutions, and other student organizations to bring about meaningful and lasting change.
5. Transparency and Accountability: Upholding the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and accountability in all aspects of my role as Secretary General.
I am confident in my ability to effectively serve as your Secretary General and commit to working tirelessly towards the achievement of our collective aspirations. With your support, I firmly believe that we can build a stronger, more vibrant, and better NANS JCC KANO AXIS.
Together, let us ignite a new era of progress, unity, and resilience within the Nigerian student community. Your votes will not only be an endorsement of my personal capabilities but also a testament to our shared vision for a brighter future.
Thank you for your attention, and I humbly request your support and votes in the forthcoming convention.
