Ghana has relieved coach Chris Hughton of his duties after the national team’s early elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Hughton’s team failed to secure a win in the group stage, finishing third in Group B with only two points.
Despite a chance to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams, Ghana’s elimination was confirmed when Cameroon beat The Gambia 3-2.
The Ghana Football Association announced Hughton’s dismissal and the dissolution of the technical team, with plans for a roadmap on the future direction of the Black Stars to be provided in the coming days.
