The member Representing Enugu North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu has inaugurated seven man education Board which will be saddled with the responsibility of awarding SSCE, tertiary institutions scholarships, bursary and other interventions in public primary and secondary schools in Enugu North and South Federal Constituency.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony yesterday in Enugu, Hon Atu said education was top on his agenda because it is the bedrock of any society. He tasked to Board to develop policy document for the award of SSCE and tertiary scholarships, bursary and general interventions in public primary and secondary schools in Enugu North and South Federal Constituency and ensure proper and verifiable implementation.
Atu further urged the Board to be transparent in their activities and ensure that deserving students got the scholarship. According to Hon Atu, “I am a product of public school and I know that there are many brilliant children out there that need our support. As the representative of the people, it is my job to help build education in Enugu North and South Federal Constituency.”
