Former Vice President and 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated actress Funke Akindele on her movie ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ becoming the first Nollywood movie to hit N1 billion.
Atiku stated that the movie’s success serves ‘the unyielding spirit of Nolywood.’
He made this known in a post on X on Friday.

In similar vein, President Bola Tinubu has expressed excitement over the latest box office record achieved by Funke Akindele’s movie in the entertainment industry.
Tinubu, who spoke through his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, on Friday, said the ingenuity, creativity, and immense artistic talents of Nigeria’s thriving entertainment industry is unrivalled.
He also lauded Akindele for her contributions to the growth of the industry.
Extolling the excellence of the Nigerian creative industry, the President acknowledged its pivotal place as a medium not only for artistic expression but also as a source of enormous soft power and viable export.
