The lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Fed. Constituency at the House of Reps., Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe has sent his feliciatations to constituents and Christians on this year Christmas celebration.
The two term lawmaker who made this known through his media office on sunday urged christian fateful to show love to one another and upholding moral principles that will deepen the thread that binds us together as a people.
In the spirit of sober reflection of the challenges and personal grieve experiencing, he also called for genuine understanding and patience as he promises to come out more better.
“As Christians celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ today, I bring you greetings.
“This is the most challenging period of my life. I lost my immediate senior sister and my junior brother who we all know.
“I’m yet to recover as a result of their untimely departure because they are so dear to me.
“I believe life goes on but I urge my people to reason along this challenging period with me as a sober reflection.
“I am not unaware of the demands from all quarters, I can assure everyone of my committment towards achieving those demands which will be for the betterment of everyone.
“I therefore call for understanding as better days ahead. Adelegbe stated.
It would be recalled, two major ill-fated events happened to Hon. Adelegbe, this year 2023, the death of his immediate elder sister and the kidnap of his junior brother who was a former council chairman of Ose local government area, Bola Adelegbe. This has largely weighed him down and struggling to come out of the shock.
We all know that christmas afford many families the opportunity to be at their happiest and most united. But for the lawmaker, it is the first in the past 30years of his life where he will not be with friends and family to celebrate this festive period.
