A Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), HIGHBEEKAY FOUNDATION , recently commissioned a borehole at Iwoye community in Àkúré. The event witnessed a large turnout of members of the community who expressed their joy concerning the project because they have been having problem with potable water for years.
Speaking at the event, the project manager of the foundation, Comrade Seyi Olaniyi Ogundipe stated that the foundation is known for engaging in community based projects within the state. He also mentioned that the foundation gives food items and scholarships to indigent students within the state.
He went on to urge the community to make judicious use of the facility and guard it jealously, stating that the foundation is determined to bring succour to the less-privileged all around the world by empowering them through basic needs assessment.
Hon. Oguntodu Olajide, one of the stakeholders, in his remark, urged individuals to complement the assiduous efforts of the government, stressing that the government alone cannot solve all the problems of mankind.
The traditional ruler of the community, Olu Iwoye, in his remark thanked the founder of the foundation, Amb. Samuel Titilayo Ibukun and members of the team for a job well done. He also promised that they will make sure they guard the solar light and borehole jealously.
