An Oyibo man, whose identity has been withheld, is reportedly inconsolable after being sw!ndl€d out of a staggering $10 million by a Nigerian internet fraudster commonly known as Yahoo boy.
The man, believed to be in his late 50s, fell victim to an elaborate romance scam that began online. Over the course of several months, he developed a strong emotional attachment to the scammer, who posed as a beautiful young woman seeking financial assistance.
Blinded by love, the man willingly transferred millions of dollars to the scammer’s account. However, when he finally realized he had been duped, it was too late. The scammer had vanished without a trace, leaving the man heartbroken and penniless.
Friends and family have described the man as being in a state of complete despair. “He’s just not the same person anymore,” one friend said. “He’s lost everything – his money, his faith, and his hope.”
