The new elected leadership of NANS had a successful and constructive interface with the Honourable Minister of State for youth, Comrade Ayodele Olawande. The meeting was held on 5th November, 2023 and was an essential platform for discussing key issues pertaining to the welfare and interests of Nigerian students.
The newly elected leadership of NANS, headed by His Excellency, Comrade Lucky Emonefe, the President-elect, extended gratitude to the Honourable Minister for his supportive role during the recently concluded NANS election at the 2023 NANS Convention in Abuja. The Minister’s dedication to ensuring a free and fair election was greatly appreciated by the NANS leadership.
Furthermore, during the interface, the NANS leadership emphasized the importance of prioritizing student welfare within the Minister’s agenda. It was expressed that students are crucial stakeholders in the country and that addressing their needs and concerns is integral to solving many societal challenges.
The President (Elect.), Comrade Luck, eloquently stressed that by effectively catering to the interests of students, a significant portion of the country’s issues can be mitigated, underscoring the pivotal role that students play in advancing the nation’s prosperity and stability.
Meeting with the Honourable Minister was deemed successful and fruitful, facilitating open and constructive dialogue that paves the way for collaborative efforts in championing the welfare and rights of Nigerian students.
