Governors of the northeastern states of Nigeria have begun their 9th meeting in Yola, to chart a new course for the region.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the forum, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State renewed their commitment to overcome the challenges of the region.
He saluted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shatima for their commitment to maintaining peace in the zone.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, in his welcome remarks, said that with the coming up of the forum, peace has been restored in the region.
He said with the commitment of the governors the zone will continue to witness unprecedented development across the states.
