When I stopped working in the bank, I used to follow a caterer to various events to assist in cooking in order for me to make money.
At the end of the day I was paid and given part of the left over foods both cooked and uncooked.
I put my MBA degree and years of experience in the bank aside, rolled up my sleeves and did the job available.
I advised some one to go to an amala joint to wash plates, the owner of the joint even added morning and night foods to her daily pay.
After a while, she stopped going there.
Her excuse was that some of her friends were coming there to eat, that she felt ashamed of herself.
I remember when myself and my serial entrepreneur friend Folasade Arogundade Olunuga used to go to Eko Idumota on weekends to buy some goods for sale.
Then, we were still working with Intercontinental Bank but if you saw us in the market, you would not believe we went to school.
Some people are broke because of pride.
There are opportunities all around you.
You have to roll up your sleeves and get dirty.
