ADESANMI OLADIJI (LANDMARK).
Our attention has just been drawn to the allegations leveled against the person of our son whose name appears in the above caption by Mr. Agboola Kelly, a self-proclaimed Agba Egbe of APC in Ondo East Local Government Area.
The fact that Mr. Agboola Kelly made all the allegations via social
media platform clearly shows that he is not a party man and indeed he is not.
Mr. Agboola Kelly lacks the confidence to compile those allegations
and forward them by a letter to the chairman of the party at the state level and also copy the local government chapter as required by moral standard and ethics.
In his social media letter of allegations, Mr. Agboola Kelly alleged as follow.
That Rt Hon. Speaker, Olamide Oladiji (Landmark) imposed all
his choice as party Exco members on the party in the local govt
servant.
That Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji (Landmark) imposed the L.G.
Secretary on the party when he knew that he is a serving civil
That Rt Hon. Speaker, Olamide Oladiji (Landmark) unilaterally
selected all the prospective candidates of the party for the
upcoming Local Government Elections.
Taking one item after another, we wish to remind Mr. Agboola Kelly
that he attended a meeting of leaders when and where he was asked to nominate the chairman of his ward. He nominated Mr. Blessing, the current chairman of ward 3.
We also wish to remind Mr. Agboola Kelly that he was part of the leadership decision at the same meeting where it was unanimously agreed upon to share some offices to all parties that merged with the APC to achieve all encompassing executive.
In the same meeting, it was Agboola Kelly that pleaded for consensus
mode of congress, and which was unanimnously approved in line with the
APC state leadership’s advice.
With this arrangement, we won all our general elections, even though Mr. Agboola Kelly did not participate in any of them. He said he was on
vengeance mission against the governor, Arakunrin Akeredolu. His reason was clear. Agboola Kelly was an agent of Agboola Ajayi in the governorship
primary election.
Regarding item ll, We wish to use this medium to educate Mr., Kelly
Agboola and his cohort with reference to the Supreme Court ruling on civil
servants’ participation in politics (2000).
Having gone a little far to respond to Mr. Kelly Agboola’s bundles of
baseless allegations against the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Olamide Oladiji
(Landmark). In acknowledging the good quality of Rt. Hon, Oladiji’s service to Ondo East in the first instance, State, and infact to humanity, we, therefore, pass A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON HIM.
We also implore him to disregard everything about Agboola Kelly and
Continue with his good service. He should treat Agboola Kelly’s character
and behaviours as coveteous. Such is not unusual of him. He added.
