Some argue that Nyesom Wike
does not own a political structure
in Rivers State.
They say he inherited the structure
of former Governor Peter Odili.
They argue that Amaechi, Omehia
and Wike are products of the
Odili dynasty and therefore
do not have their own structures
I ask: Why Odili dynasty instead of
Ada George dynasty? After all, Odili
was deputy to Ada George.
The truth is that Odili political
structure was balkanized and killed.
It finally died when Wike displaced late
Chief G.U. Ake with Bro Felix Obuah
alias “Goround” in a ‘palace coup d’etat’.
Wike by that coup snatched the political structure of the PDP in Rivers State and rebranded it. He chased his enemies
into APC, built the GDI, made thugs and
militants LGA Chairmen
and sent them to the State and
National Assembly. He empowered
bad guys over decent people.
Wike set up the neighbourhood watch,
built houses for heads of security agencies, judges and big politicians.
What bigger political structure can there be?
Yes, Nyesom Wike has his own structure
and nobody can take it without a serious fight.
