A young Nigerian man, Promise Wosu Junior, who raced 606 km from Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos to Port Harcourt in 5 days, has been rewarded with land plots for his incredible feat.
Promise, a native of Omudioga in Emohua local government, Rivers state, embarked on this ambitious journey with the goal of setting a Guinness World Record.
His incredible feat caught the attention of many, and he garnered significant support and recognition for his efforts.
After successfully completing the arduous marathon and arriving in Port Harcourt on October 21, Promise checked into a medical facility for a well-deserved check-up and some much-needed rest.
His journey was grueling, covering a distance of approximately 606 kilometers.
The young runner’s triumphant return to Port Harcourt was marked by a warm welcome from the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who commended Promise’s determination and courage.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, November 1, Promise shared his excitement with his fans and followers.
He wrote:“In appreciation of my courage and determination on the just concluded Lagos to Port Harcourt Marathon, which I successfully completed to project the good image of our State and Nation at large, I have been gifted with plots of land.”
