The Bayelsa State Government has placed a ban on campaign activities in school premises across the State.
This is as a result of heightened electoral activities in the build up to the November 11 Governorship Election in the State. Therefore, all Political Parties are by this notice cautioned from using public school premises for their electoral activities.
This resolution is to ensure public school facilities are protected and preserved even in this political season as government will not entertain any form of vandalism nor destruction of school facilities in the name of political campaigns.
Meanwhile, any group of persons or party who may wish to carry out electoral activities in schools must ensure they get clearance from the Office of the Honourable Commissioner for Education Bayelsa State before carrying out rallies or any other activities so as to be held responsible for any damage that may be recorded during and after the event.
