Receiving the Ex Rovers FC, The Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Agnes Atsu, thanked them for their visit, while assuring them of the Ministry and government’s support in ensuring that everything needed to achieve maximum result will be made available to the club to contribute their quota for the betterment of sports in the state.
Speaking earlier, the Secretary Ex Rovers Football Club, Cross River State Chapter, Edem Oyom said their visit to the commissioner was to officially congratulate her on the appointment as Commissioner Sports Development.
He said the Club intends to improve on the performances of Rovers FC, saying their wealth of experience in football over the years will be used to support the commissioner’s administration.
He pleaded for the state government to look into their matters in terms of welfare and other financial crisis for better performance from the future generations in sporting activities in the state.
