Executive Chairman of Keana Local Government Council, Hon. Sanusi Abdul Giza has been commended for connecting Gidan Kpalev, Kardako, Sarkin Noma and other neighbouring communities in the Area to national grid in order to provide residents who are predominantly farmers access to electricity.
The District Head of Arikpo, Mr Abdulkarim A. Ayitogo, gave the commendation recently in a interview with newsmen, noting that the administration will go down as best in Keana’s history.
Ayitogo said the rural electrification project commissioned in February by Governor Abdullahi Sule has in no small measures improved the socioeconomic fortunes of the various communities.
The Monarch also commended the Council Chairman for constructing the bridge linking Kadardo to communities in Kwara ward of the Area,
According to him, the multi-million naira projects which he described as life-impactful, had placed the axis on the pedestal of sustained growth and development, hence the commendation.
Mr Abdul-Giza popularly known as Danji had in barely 2-years in office implemented over 10 capital projects across the area. They include construction of 1000-seat Multi-Purpose Hall in Giza, construction of bridges and drainage, construction of palaces and offices for local chiefs, construction of market stalls and the remodeling and furnishing of the Chairman’s office.
Others are procurement of hospital equipments and repairs of some vehicles owned by the Council.
