The Minister of Transportation, Saidu Alkali, has launched the first cargo movement from the Lagos-Ibadan cargo rail corridor.
The minister’s first point of visit during his official tour on Tuesday, was the Ebute Meta station.
He then moved to Apapa, where the cargo services were launched, before traveling to Ibadan via the 157 km rail corridor.
During the tour, three coaches consisting of 30 wagons were loaded, launching the freight services.
