The Foremost Chartered Accountant in Nigeria who was born on August 9, 1919, has been announced dead.
Pa Akintola qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1949 after obtaining a degree in Banking and Finance from the University of London.
He was the first president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and played a leading role in establishing the association of accountants in Nigeria in 1960 with the goal of training accountants.
The doyen of accounting profession in celebrated his 104 birthday last month. May his soul rest in peace.
