Members of the Labour Party in Ngwaobi Ward 11 Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State has petitioned the LGA Palliative Committee through the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs Chief Uzor Nwachukwu over the action of Pastor Mathew Chikezie Ikaaa and James Okoroji whom they accused of selling 12bags of Palliative rice donated by Federal Government and distributed to the LGA by the Abia State Government.
“The party Secretary Pastor Mathew Chikezie Ikaa and Ward 11 Party Chairman James Okoroji have messed Labour Party in Ngwaobi Ward, Isiala Ngwa South LGA”
“The two persons that represents the party here sold 12 bags of Rice for 45,000 each which amounted to 540,000, they did not stop there, they took one bag of rice each and shared three bags of Rice for each polling unit, total of 39 polling units while in my own polling unit, two cups were shared by 700 party members”
“The party Chairman took 14bags of rice and when the elders summoned them, they said that the Honourable Commissioner ask them to take the 14bags away” they angrily wrote in their petition while asking the commissioner to take action over the activities of the afformentioned leaders. ( PUO).
