The National Executive committee (NEC) of the All Progressive Congress (APC), on Thursday, elected Former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and former Senate spokesman, Ajibola Bashiru, from Osun state as National Chairman and Secretary.
The former Plateau central Senatorial aspirant and the immediate past Plateau state Coordinator APC-PCC Contact and Mobilisation Mall Al-hassan Yakmut, has congratulated the duo, on their emergence as the new National Chairman and Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Yakmut in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and communication, in Jos on Saturday, described Ganduje and Bashiru’s victory as a testimony to the tremendous respect that they enjoys across the polity for their integrity, experience and leadership capacity.
“I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje and Sen Ajibola Bashiru on their emergence as the National Chairman and Secretary of the APC from the just concluded 12th National Executive Council(NEC) meeting of the party on Thursday in Abuja following the resignation of senator Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore as National Chairman and Secretary of the party respectively.
“Ganduje and Bashiru’s antecedents both private and as political leaders, astute administrators shows that our party has made a great choice in their election as our National Chairman and Secretary,”Yakmut said
He urged them to ensure internal democracy reigns supreme in the ruling party and to do their best differently to deliver their mandates and live up to the expectations of the teeming members of the party.
“I also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders of our great party whose exemplary leadership and wise counsels led to a rancour -free National Executive committee (NEC) meeting that produce the two National officers of the party.
Yakmut further wished the two new officers of the party and other members of their team success in discharging their responsibilities.
