Mali and Burkina Faso have sent a joint delegation to Niamey, the capital of Niger, to show their support and solidarity between the countries.
The delegation, which is expected to arrive on Monday, is headed by Colonel Abdoulaye Maïga the Malian Minister of State, the Minister of Territorial Administration, and the government spokesperson.
Niger defied the Sunday deadline from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to reinstate its democratically elected President Mohamed Bazoum or face military action.
