House officers at the General Hospital, in the Odan, Lagos Island area of Lagos State protested on Wednesday demanding justice for their collegue, Vwaere Diaso, who fell to her death in an elevator.
In some videos shared on Twitter, House officers can be seen marching outside the hospital premises dressed in black outfits holding inscriptions saying “The system is rigged against young doctors”, “Let doctors breathe, Dr Vwaere couldn’t breathe”, “It could have been me”, while they sang All we are saying is give us justice”.
Diaso is reportedly set to finish her housemanship in two weeks at the hospital when the unfortunate accident happened on her way to collect her meal from a dispatch rider.
