Governor Mal. Umar A. Namadi has written to the Jigawa State House of Assembly seeking the confirmation of Sixteen (16) Commissioners nominees.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
The nominees are:
1. Ibrahim Babangida Umar
2. Prof. Hannatu Sabo Muhammad
3. Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi Kainuwa
4. Aminu Kanta
5. Ahmed Garba MK
6. Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa
7. Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo
8. Dr. Isah Yusuf Chamo
9. Sagir Musa Ahmed
10. Hadiza Abdulwahab
11. Col. Muhammad Alhassan (rtd)
12. Dr. Nura Ibrahim Dandoka
13. Engr. Gambo Shu’aibu Mallam
14. Auwal Danladi Sankara
15. Musa Adamu Aliyu
16. Muttaka Namadi
Governor Umar A. Namadi, in the letter, said that, the request for the confirmation of the nominees was in accordance with Section 192 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
“It is my hope that, this exercise will receive the usual expeditious considerations of the Honourable Members of the House” the Governor said in the letter.
