Speaker Tajudeen Abbas on Tuesday named Kingsley Chinda as Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.

1. Chinda is a lawyer and once served as Commissioner for Environment in Rivers state
2. He was nominated as Minority Leader of the 9th Assembly, but lost the position to Ndudi Elumelu.
3. He was the co-Chairman of the Joint Task, 10th Assembly that brought Tajudeen Abbas as Speaker
4. He was first elected to the House in 2011 to represent Obio-Akpor Federal constituency of Rivers State.
5. He is a strong ally of former Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike
6. He was Legal Adviser to the Grassroots Democratic Party during the Abacha regime
7. He has served as Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts
8. He served in the 9th Assembly without heading any standing committee despite his experience
