Barring a last-minute change, Oyo Assembly will on Thursday get a list of Commissioners-nominee to serve as members of the State Executive Council.
The list, it was gathered was sent to the Assembly by Governor Seyi Makinde on Tuesday.
As promised, the seven nominees sent so far to the lawmakers include some of those who worked with the governor in his first term.
The Governor promised to return those who did well in the first term to continue in the service to the state.
A source close to the Assembly confirmed the list was delivered on Tuesday evening after the plenary.
Some of the Commissioners who are returning include the son of former Oyo Speaker Senator Monsurat Sunmonu and Seun Ashamu; who served last at the Ministry of Energy.
Other returning ex-Commissioners and the ministry they last served in Makinde’s first term administration include Akinola Ojo (Finance); Prof Musibau Babatunde (Budget and Planning); and Faosat Sanni (Special Duties).
Others are : Prof Daud Sangodoyin (Works and Transport); Adeniyi Adebisi (Agriculture).
The new addition to the list is the women coordinator of the Omi Titun 2.0 campaign organisation, Mrs. Toyin Balogun.
It could not be confirmed if the list contained the proposed ministry the Commissioners nominees will serve.
A source said the names would be read on the floor on Thursday while their screening and confirmation would follow suit “as the governor is expected to swear them in on his return from his journey from the United States.”
The Governor is also expected to announce his preferred Secretary to the State Government.
