Charges them to be sacrificial in their dealing with one another, as well as for the nation at large
The Honourable Member representing the good people of Ondo West Constituency II at the Ondo State House of Assembly — Hon Biola Oladapo (HBO) has extended his heartfelt felicitation to Muslim faithfuls in the Constituency and by extension Nigeria on this year’s edition of Eid-Adha.
This was contained in the statement released earlier today through the Public Relations Unit of the Constituency Office.
Hon Oladapo first appreciated Almighty Allah for finding all worthy to witness this year’s celebrations in good health and shape, expressing that despite the ups and downs of the year so far, Allah (S.W.T) has been faithful, and enough.
He explained that Eid is a celebration of love and sacrifice, which was displayed by Prophet Ibrahim in the Holy Quran, Prophet Ibrahim promised almighty Allah that he will sacrifice his son in appreciation if the Almighty Allah can give him a son and make barrenness a thing of the past in his life.
“Almighty Allah gave him a son to see if he was going to stay true to his promise, he attempted to, but Almighty Allah in his infinite mercy replaced sacrificing his first and only son with a ram, this is what we are celebrating today”. Hon Oladapo said.
He called on the celebrants for the need to emulate Prophet Ibrahim in our everyday life. “We must be ready to live a premised on love and sacrifice among our fellow citizens as a constituency and as a nation”, Hon Oladapo charged.
HBO prayed that the choicest blessings of Almighty Allah fill the lives of every celebrant of the festivity with joy and happiness, praying further that the bluebird of happiness will fly over every resident and constituents.
“Eid-Kabir, Odun Ayo lao se, aseyi s’amodun”, Hon Oladapo concluded.
