PRESIDENT of the Adeleke Women of Substance, Chief (Dr) Mrs Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, has offered words of wisdom to the recently appointed Iyaloja-General of Osun State, Chief (Mrs) Oyebode Mary Aderonke, to display magnanimity and exemplify strong leadership through an inclusive administration that fosters unity transcending political interests.
The Senior Abiyamo of Nigeria (SAN) Chief (Dr) Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, made this statement during the celebration held at Osun Government House, Okefia, Osogbo, following the inauguration of the newly elected Iyaloja-General and executive members of the Osun State Market Women and Traders’ Association by His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State.
Emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, Yeyeluwa of Edeland, Mrs Adeleke-Sanni, admonished the new Iyaloja-General to extend a hand of fellowship even to those loyal to the opposition party and work together to propel the association towards progress and development.
Speaking further, the Yeye Oba of Iroko Ekiti advised the Iyaloja-General to embrace a good leadership for all, recognizing that power comes from God and is bestowed for the betterment of humanity.
She urged Mrs. Oyeboade to ensure she works with individuals of integrity, accountability, probity, fairness, effectiveness, efficiency and transparency to steer the affairs of the association and align with the values the administration of Gov Ademola Adeleke shares and practices.
Yeyeluwa called on all market men and women, including members of the traders’ association, to join hands with the new executives, collectively striving to advance both the association and the state, adding that they should let love, unity and inclusion be the guiding principles as we move forward.
