The Plateau North Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2023 election, Amb (Dr) Chris Musa Giwa has condemned the attack and brutal killing of innocent and unarmed citizens of Plateau at Farin Lamba community of Jos South Local Government Area, on 25th April, 2023.
Giwa is saddened that these mindless and insensitive attacks on Plateau communities continues unabated with innocent citizens left at the mercy of daring criminals who carry out nefarious acts without any form of fear, conscience and humanity.
He observed that acts like this which has persisted over time, and has defyed genuine peace building efforts and sacrifice on the path of the indigenous people of Plateau is capable of eroding citizens confidence on those entrusted to protect their lives and properties and may push them to self help.
“Plateau people have long endured these series of attacks and enough is enough. Security agencies must rise up to the occasion and restore the confidence reposed on them by nipping in the bud these resurgence of attacks on innocent, law abiding citizens”.
He offered prayers for the repose of the souls of all those killed and encourage the people to put their absolute trust in God Almighty who has the permanent solution to these temporary challenges.
