Kwara House of Assembly Member-elect, Ilorin South State Constituency Hon Maryam Yusuf Aladi pin points her mission to serve the people of Ilorin South Local Government area of kwara state in the 10th Assembly.
I am going there to render better services to the people of my Constituency, state and to make useful contributions that will make lives more meaningful in terms of networking among my colleagues. For me, state members’ duty is all about network, one cannot work in isolation. There, the party will have caucuses which determine the focus or direction for members. In fact, I am going there to be a team player and will respect my party caucus decisions. I will respect the ranking officers and learn from them where necessary. Obviously, the first service in the state house is to learn the rudiments of state members behaviours and conduct. However, I will learn for sometime, then brace up to join my colleagues in establishing robust laws that would reshape and make the state better, in a way that the ordinary man can live, because there is poverty in the land.
Honestly, being the first female members elect from Ilorin South Constituency – I intend to support motions and sponsor more bills geared towards the masses, especially problem of the youths, women in the society, primary health Care challenges, students welfarism with the state empowerment program. And I will also take the headship of local government areas and local council development areas to take charge of the maintenance of constituency projects sited in their domains for proper monitoring.
Because, “`I am very much interested in ensuring that the skills acquisition centre project appear in Ilorin South Local Government and other concerns local government in the state and put into use so that our youths will be engaged.“`
Am interested in the aforementioned program with aims to accompanied Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq agenda because his programmes in the state are visible.The hospitals and educational system are functioning well.
In fact, governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq is running government with kindness, civilty, openess and dedication. He has achieved a lot and will do more as we given the opportunity. So, we appreciate Kwarans for giving him another chance in the concluded general Election.
