HON ISHAYA DAVID LALU, the House of Representatives Member-elect for Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency in the lower chamber of the national assembly, received with rude shock, the news of the loss of five (5) members of the DASTU family of Gindiri in Mangu local government area of Plateau State in a ghastly auto crash on Monday April 24, 2023 along Jos Bauchi road where only Alhaji Haruna Muhammed Dastu, a transporter and owner of DASTU GLOBAL SERVICES LIMITED survived with varying degrees of injury.
Lalu in a condolence message, said it was one of the saddest news he had received in recent times where five members of a family would perish in such a gruesome circumstance. He said it was the more traumatizing considering the prime ages and bright future that awaited the deceased.
Lalu expressed his heartfelt sympathy and conveyed condolences on behalf of himself, family and friends, his esteemed supporters and the entire HOPE IN GOD MANAGEMENT COUNCIL to the DASTU family in particular to ALH. HARUNA MUHAMMED who survived the carnage and is receiving and responding to treatment at a hospital.
Lalu who was visibly disturbed, lamented the way and manner precious lives were being consumed on our roads was too alarming for comfort, and called on car owners to be extra vigilant and drive with much caution to void and minimize accidents on our roads.
He prayed God to administer divine healing and speedy recovery to the survivor, ALH HARUNA MUHAMMED and grant the family, relations, friends and all those who mourn the deceased inspirational comfort and the fortitude to bear their painful exit and may we all be consoled. Amen!
