It is with joy in my heart that I am wishing all our Christian brothers and sisters the best of this moment to mark the death and ressurection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Easter is a period of sober reflection;a time to look at the essence of the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ with a view to rededicating our lives to suit the His purposes for us.
Born even in a manger, the symbolism of this is that for one to be useful to God and humanity, one’s background doesn’t matter.
While wishing all of us the best of this moment, may I reiterate the need to be our brothers keepers. This is time to give to the needy, forgive ourselves, encourage the downtrodden to be on their feet and pray for the continued peaceful coexistence of the nation.
As your friend and brother, we shall keep hope alive in whatever way possible to keep the tempo of our interventions aimed at putting smiles on the faces of our people in shape.
It is needless to stress that in less than 8 weeks from now, our president elect, Asiwaju Bola inubu, will take the oath of office.
As Christians, let us continue to pray for smooth transition. Afterall it is commonly said that the good of the nest is the good of the bird.
No doubt, the hawks are hovering but with your prayers, the clouds the enemies of our democracy are gathering will give way to the brightness of hope. By His grace, there shall be hope in the horizon.
And may the essence of the crucifixion,
death and ressurection of Jesus Christ never be in vain in our lives.
Again, happy Easter Celebrations!
