WIFE OF ONDO STATE HOUSE MAJORITY LEADER, MRS. TEMITOPE IWAGUN-OGUNMOLASUYI, COMMEMORATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY, DISTRIBUTES FOODS AND RELIEF ITEMS TO WOMEN TO SUPPORT HER HUSBAND’S RE-ELECTION
Wednesday 8th of March 2023 was funfair in the ancient town of Owo where a group of women, led by the wife of the Majority Leader of Ondo State Assembly & Coordinator, Ondo Progressive Young Women Forum, Mrs. Temitope Iwagun-Ogunmolasuyi stormed the streets and market places in the town to felicitate with women of different social and political strata. Foods of various kinds including relief items were distributed to women across the state constituency.
Some of the beneficiaries of the kind gesture include market women, vulnerable women and people living with disabilities from the different communities that make up the Governor’s native town.
The market women who were happy in numbers, impressively trooped out enmass to receive the team led by Mrs. Temitope.
In a welcome address by the market women Leader, Iyaafin Chief Iwaloye, expressed how glad they are to receive this kind of hospitality from the wife of the Majority Leader of the Assembly, are so much grateful for this wonderful surprise, we hope to see other women in politics doing this and as well sensitizing our girls and fellow women why they must Partake in developing our society as well as having equal opportunity.
Iyaafin Chief Iwaloye, who promised that they would vote massively for Temitope’s husband, Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi popularly known as West, so as to ensure that his good works continue across the constituency uninterrupted.
While addressing the market women, she pledged the commitment of promoting gender equality, respect for the rights of women and working conscientiously to remove all barriers that prevent Nigerian women from realising their universal rights.
Women are the salt of the world, we must have access to equal opportunities, career, live our dreams and contribute immensely to the development of dear state.
