Ondo state reps member-elect under the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, today paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON.
The visit which had the Deputy Governor of Ondo state, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, Commissioner for Agric., Forestry and Natural Resources, Hon. Olayato Aribo and Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and former Head of Service, Mr. Dare Aragbaye was held at the Government House, Alagbaka, Akure, led by Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe, a member of House of Reps., Owo/Ose Fed. Const., had his colleagues, Mr. Donald Ojogo, rep member-elect and a former commissioner for Information and Orientation, to represent Ilaje/Ese Odo Fed. Const., Mr. Adefiranye to represent Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Fed. Const.
Presenting their certificate of return to Governor Akeredolu, the members-elect appreciated the number one citizen of the sunshine state for his guidance and unalloyed support they enjoyed during their electioneering period. They promised to sustain and consolidate on the redemption agenda the Governor has for the state.
It would be recalled that out of the nine seats of Ondo state in the House of Reps, the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, won eight and lost one to People Democratic Party, in Ifedore/Idanre Fed. Constituency.
Also recall that in Owo/Ose Fed. Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe of APC polled 34,855 to defeat Hon. Ayo Arowele of PDP who scored 20,645, while in Ilaje/Ese Odo Fed. Constituency, Donald Ojogo of APC garnered 26, 306 votes defeated a third term member of the House of Reps., Hon. Akinjo of PDP who scored 22,390 votes while Ile-Oluju/Oke-Igbo Fed. Constituency, Hon. Adefiranye of APC polled 36, 147 votes to defeat his opponent, Olatunji Felder of PDP who scored 19,168 votes.
