Olugbo of Ugbo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Frederick Obateru Akinruntan Okoro Ajiga 1 has sent a warning to candidates and members of opposition parties including PDP and SDP not to bother seeking his royal blessings as well endorsement for the forthcoming elections.
The highly respected King made this statement today when the deputy governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa led stakeholders of the oil rich region and candidates of APC for Reps, Donald Ojogo and state assembly, Prince Abayomi Akinruntan to visit the billionaire King at Obamakin Osangangan Hall, in Ode-Ugbo.
I stand with the decision of the rotational principle of the founding fathers of this nation, in particular, that of democracy where power has always been rotated between the North and the South.
It is the turn of the South.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the choice of the South-West and vast majority of the North and as such I align myself with his presidential ambition as well as that of other APC candidates including Jimoh Ibrahim , Donald Ojogo and my son, Prince Abayomi Akinruntan.
“Anyone who wants this country and Ilaje land to change for good will not even think of voting for the opposition. PDP have had their time and it is the turn of APC”, he said.
Bola Tinubu is a talent hunter, bridge builder and people manager. He has a proven track record. I therefore use the opportunity of this meeting to direct all the High Chiefs, Baales and political stakeholders within Ugbo Kingdom to mobilize their subjects and followers for all the candidates of APC.
Please tell all the candidates of PDP, LP and SDP to stay away from me, for now as I’ve given my royal blessings to the candidates of APC, Olugbo declared.
In attendance were: High Chiefs of Ugbo Kingdom, APC Chieftain, Chief Olusola Oke SAN, Baales, Commissioner for Health, Hon. Banji Ajaka, Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Hon Akinwunmi Sowore, Chairman Ilaje LG, Hon Goke Jatuwase, APC chieftain, Hon Tawose Nimbe, Hon Oluyide Mekuleyi, Hon Dickson Obele, Dr. Bayo Segede, Hon Bosede Zachariah, Former Commissioner for Environment,
