Owo Local Government Area Student’s Union National Representative Council earlier today pass a vote of no confidence on the National President Comr. Adewumi Ojigbo.

Over the past few days, and precisely since the end of the congress, where the Acting Speaker has in his sole will, Conied and joined hands with the President of the Union to submerged, go against the interest of the NRC and the wish of the the majority Congressmen, at the OLGASU Congress held on the 4th January, 2023.
The Electoral Committee is at the moment, according to the provision of the Constitution only answerable to the NRC, in accordance to the provisions of Section 48, subsection IX and that ”On no account should the President interfere in the electoral proceedings”.
The recent, Publication released by the President, ‘placing’ an embargo on the Electoral processes, and the Endorsement Fliers of Some Selected Candidates (attached to the Publication and shared by the National President), is another indication that the National President, has now made it so clear and obvious to all that he Intends to take all OLGASUites for granted, sell the Union cheaply and to his own satisfaction by using the Union to canvass for a Political party, which is alien to the norms and fundamental provision of, the creation of our Noble Union (which was meant to represent the welfarism of the students and not for partisan Politics)
It is very important to note that, OLGASU is apolitical and under no ground, are we going to watch, any officers of the Association, tarnish the image of the Union.
Having seen and realized that they (The PRESIDENT and Deputy Speaker) have both displayed a Culpable act, likened with gross misconduct, and punishable by recommendation of the sacrosanct Constitution.
It is on this note, that we expressively shared that, we have lost confidence and can no longer trust the Leadership of the Union.

Ojigbo Adewumi) and his ability to function well as the President and demanded by the Constitution and Known Laws of our Dear Union.
It is on this note , that the NRC concluded that the Vice President, Comrade Amubioya Iyanuoluwa, should, with immediate effect, take over the leadership of the Union and that the President should stop parading himself as the President of the Union.
We understand the severity of this decision and did not arrive at it hastily, as it shares the will and wishes of the Majority members of the NRC.
