As a way of building a strong relationship with relevant stakeholders and civil groups in Ose local government area, member of House of Representatives, Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe has donated a motorcycle to the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employee, NULGE, Ose chapter.
The lawmaker who donated this today at the council secretariat in Ifon, the Local Government headquarters, explained that the donations were part of his contribution towards having a robust relationship with the workers in the local government and easy means of mobility.
Adelegbe who is representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, stated that the donation had nothing to do with politics but part of his philanthropic gestures.
Appreciating the donation, the President of the NULGE in Ose local government, Comrade Idowu Adesunloye, appreciated the rep member for recognising the union body. He vowed that the gesture will go along way in working for the second term bid of the lawmaker.Â
In a related development, Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe met with all the Unit Chairmen of APC in Owo local government area as part of his preparation towards the forthcoming general election.Â
Addressing the party chieftains, Hon Balogun, Owo Local Government APC Chairman, in his address, thank all the Units Chairmen while stressing that the success of Adelegbe in the coming election is a success for all.
He stressed further that all Units Chairmen must deliver their Wards for APC. He added that the Governor of Ondo state who is from Owo, has done a lot of work in Owo and the best way to reward his legacies is to vote enmass for APC in the general election.Â
“We should all bear in mind that, the success of our rep member, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe is also our success in the forthcoming election.Â
“I charge everyone here to brace up for the task ahead. We must not fail our various units. We must deliver in terms of bulk votes especially from Owo.
“Looking at the legacies of our Governor, it will be a thing of reward if we all vote enmass and support the party’s candidates.Â
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe, while addressing the Unit Chairmen, appreciated their perseverance and support in time past. He noted that there is the need for the unit chairmen to have strong hold of their units as that is the only way to secure victory at the grassroot level.
The lawmaker promised that the units with highest number of votes in the general election shall be rewarded.
“The unit Chairmen are crucial leaders in the local areas. Go back to your units and have meetings, canvass votes for the success of the party.
“When I promise, I fulfil my promise. The first five units that polled the highest number of votes will be rewarded and I mean it”. Adelegbe added.
