As the Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, commences its statewide campaigns for next month’s general elections, the Director-General of the Party’s Campaign Council, christened New Rivers Vision Consolidation Campaign Council, Bro Felix Obuah says every machinery has been put in place for successful campaigns to guarantee the party’s usual winning streak across the 23 council areas of the State. The import of the campaign tour is to spread the goodwill message of His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike to Rivers people ahead of the crucial 2023 general elections and to showcase those lined up by the party for the respective elections with a view to consolidating the gains of His Excellency’s quality leadership.
Bro Obuah who won the governorship and other elections for the PDP back to back as the State Party Chairman in 2015 and 2019 respectively, said if the PDP could win the elections based on promises it avowed and has excellently and satisfactorily fulfilled beyond imagination, the 2023 elections which stand on infrastructural revolution in the state by the same PDP-led government will be a smoother ride because ‘seeing is believing’.
While calling for the same degree of support and solidarity that was the propeller and motivator for all the extraordinary performance of the party with His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike on the driver’s seat, Bro Obuah enjoined all party supporters, faithful and lovers of democracy to come out en masse to welcome the PDP campaign team in their respective council areas on their scheduled dates.
