In less than 50days to this time, Nigerians will elect their new leaders who will lead them for another four years in government. Currently the political space is tensed up as political gladiators are working assiduously to win the minds of the electorates. The task of galvanising votes will only be difficult for leaders who have not performed or done well for the people.
In Ondo state for instance, the man bestriding the political landscape like a colossus is Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe, member representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Abuja, with his sagacity and unprecedented performance in the last couple of years in the national assembly. As an elected parliamentarian under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adelegbe has been etching indelible imprints in the sands of time to the admiration of thousands of his fans and supporters.
Political stakeholders and opinon leaders even attested to the fact that the former commissioner performed beyond imagination and deserve to be re-elected.
Adelegbe has redefined representative democracy by his strides and undertaking in a manner that has caused many, including his admirers and staunch critics, to marvel. His achievements so far, runing to 50, both completed and ongoing projects facilitated as a member of the House of Representatives, have been so effective that Owo/Ose has been steadily in the news in the past year. That alone, has attracted many party members towards him in order to deliver bloc votes in both Owo and Ose Local governments in the forthcoming election for the party.
Recently, Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe and other APC Candidates toured round the nooks and crannies of Ose local government to canvass votes on the need for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC Presidential Candidate to be elected as the next president, going by his track records and political dexterity in managing governance.
It will not be out of place to say that Adelegbe is a factor in Owo/Ose politics because he’s now a rallying point for the party’s success, not only in the federal constituency but Ondo state as a whole.
