Tricycle Rider kidnap by gunmen For Filming Abduction Operation

Some gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly abducted a tricycle operator allegedly videoing their kidnap operation at Onugwu Market Square, Ibeagwa in the Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.SaharaReporters gathered that the incident happened on Thursday, at about 6pm.

The gunmen also kidnapped two other people including one Pele who was said to be an in-law to the immediate past Chairman of Enugu East Council Area, Chief Alex Ugwu.

Pele, according to sources from the community, was trailed to the market where he was blocked and whisked away by the gunmen.

Also, a shop owner at the market square and a tricycle rider, who reportedly videoed the abduction incident, were picked up.

The hoodlums also, while they were making their escape, stopped over on the Ugwogo/Opi express road and robbed a fuel station, shooting the manager in the process.

The former Council Chairman, Chief Ugwu, confirmed the incident.

The traditional ruler of the Ibeagwa community, His Royal Majesty Igwe Emmanuel Ugwu also condemned the act, describing it as grave threat to the peace in the community.
