Member House of Representatives, Hon Abiola Peter Makinde, representing the good people of Ondo East and West Federal Constituency, received a massive boost in his re-election bid as Christians in Politics,CHIP, unanimously endorsed him for second term.
The event which took place on the ground of Our Saviours Primary School in Ondo saw the coming together of several church members and religious leaders across the constituency to pray for Hon Makinde and throw their weight behind him for the 2023 general elections.
Leading other revered religious leaders to the event was Gen. Coordinator Of Christians In Politics,Hon Deacon Akinsunmoye Clement. Also present with him were CAN Chairman West; Rev Olowoniyi Sunday. CAN Chairman East; Pastor Jayeoba.1/Way of Holiness church; Pastor Falade.Celestial Church of Christ parishes across Ondo including; Omolore,Ayeyemi,Oloruntedo,Oka,Bolorunduro, and Igba.
Also present at the endorsement ceremony were, K&S Ayo Ni O, Snr. Apostle Mosebolatan, Zion Church worldwide,The Yes of God ministry, LFC(Winners Chapel),Redeem church of God,Rich Pasture ministry,CAC beulah land,Bethel,Baptist church,Anglican, St Matthews Catholic Church amongst others.
In a short interview with the General Coordinator, Deacon Akinsunmoye Clement, he stated that the endorsement became imperative in the wake of the giant strides and accomplishment of the incumbent MHR, Hon Abiola Makinde, as no past representative had attracted more dividends of democracy to Ondo East and West Federal constituency than him.
Speaking with the Press also was CAN Chairman West, Rev Awoniyi who stated in clear terms how Hon Makinde, MHR always had the interests of the Christians at heart and has contributed immensely to the positive growth of churches and its members across the constituency.
