The campaign organization of Mr. Oluwaseyi Gabriel Ogundare, the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for House of Representatives Owo/Ose Constituency has raised alarm on the recent destruction of their campaign billboards.
In a press statement signed by the spokesperson of the campaign organization, Mr. Tope Ajulo and made available to Ondo Mind, the campaign organization condemned the development and said “it is alien of free electoral system”.

“The attention of the Oluwaseyi Gabriel Ogundare Campaign Organization has been drawn to the recent developments of the unscrupulous actions of some alien of free electoral system who have been going around destroying our campaign billboards in some parts of Owo and Ose local government area.
“It is a fundamental right of any political party and her candidate to go about the political campaigns as stipulated by the law without fear of intimidation from anyone or group and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency seat has always abide by the electoral law.

Therefore it came as a shock that some sponsored members of the opposition parties went about destroying our billboards.
“The ugly incident all started in Elegbeka, Ose LG, where two of our banners were removed from its frame and carted away, until this recent one in Emure-Ile in Owo, whereby the billboard frames were uprooted and the banner carted away by those hoodlums. Also, some of our campaign billboards have been destroyed in three different junctions in the Owo metropolis.

“We also, as a responsible political party wishes to appeal to the perpetrators of this dastard act to desist from further occurrence as anyone caught will be made to face the full wrath of the law”.
