Nollywood star Queeneth Agbor recounts a terrifying encounter with a ride-hailing driver, sharing her experience to raise awareness about safety concerns for passengers
During a ride with a driver she had booked, Queeneth Agbor – known for her roles in Nollywood films – shared an alarming experience.
While crossing the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, she experienced an incident that has left her profoundly traumatized.
Agbor disclosed that the driver commenced an indecent act by masturbating in the car, with her and a minor as witnesses.
The actor shared her apprehension and the challenge she encountered in reacting to the circumstance without arousing concern from the child positioned at the rear.
Agbor wrote on Instagram, “This is the most traumatized I’ve ever been.”
As soon as we reached Third Mainland Bridge, the man exposed his genitals and began to act inappropriately. I was too frightened to even keep hold of my phone.
For the sake of my own safety and that of a minor in the car, I attempted to divert his attention. With limited options for retaliation, I chose not to alarm her with what was transpiring. My aim was to keep her from feeling frightened or overwhelmed.
Despite his reprehensible actions, she also pointed out the disturbing irony of the driver listening to Christian music during the incident.
Agbor’s post drew attention to her worry about people who could possibly become prey to such actions, particularly those journeying alone in the night.
Concluding her post, the actress implored divine protection stating “May evil never harm us as God guards us forever.”
The story of Agbor has provoked anger and worry among her supporters, who are demanding that ride-hailing services implement enhanced safety measures to avert similar occurrences in the future.
